About the Role
The role focuses on proactively identifying and mitigating risks associated with end‑of‑life components, ensuring product functionality and reliability throughout its lifecycle. The engineer will analyze potential obsolescence issues, develop mitigation strategies, and support continuous product performance. • Plan and coordinate obsolescence management activities. • Verify export control relevance and any applicable restrictions. • Review and document affected assemblies/components due to change scope. • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders regarding qualifications. • Identify similar ongoing changes within the system. • Manage change documentation using OM tool, Windchill, and SAP. • Collect and pre‑evaluate relevant obsolescence management data. • Document safeguarding measures, prepare releases, and support corrective actions. • Prepare technical reports for series release documentation.

What You Bring
• Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Possess 3–5 years of experience in component qualification processes. • Proficient with SAP, Creo, Windchill, and MS Office (Word/Excel). • Strong knowledge of engine components and their functions. • Familiar with manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, machining, die‑and‑pattern, sheet metal, and piping. • Experienced in qualification testing of diesel engine components. • Understand field issues related to obsolescence management. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
