Senior Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (7am start time)

About the Role
Each day you will maintain and repair equipment ranging from balers and conveyors to gearboxes, motors, and bearings. You will respond quickly to system failures, perform preventive maintenance, and report to the Plant Maintenance Manager to ensure smooth and safe operations. • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repair or rebuild major equipment (balers, conveyors, hydraulic packs, etc.) • Maintain the Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) backlog • Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and alert the Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager of any issues • Inspect quality of third‑party repairs and rebuilds • Recommend improvements for production, equipment performance and product quality • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls • Work with limited supervision while maintaining high performance standards • Keep work area clean and safe, complying with corporate and OSHA standards • Perform repairs following Waste Management Safety, Life Critical Rules and OSHA requirements • Push, pull, bend and lift objects over 50 lb • Work from ladders or raised platforms • Stand or work on concrete floors most of the day • Work in material recycling, repair/maintenance or outdoor facilities

What You Bring
The position may require a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative for air travel or access to federal property, and you must be willing to obtain one if needed. • Multitask and prioritize multiple work orders efficiently • Flexibly cover nights or weekends as operational needs require • Minimum 4 years relevant plant maintenance experience • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States • Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination • Capability to work safely with motor coordination and lift >50 lb • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively • Strong problem‑solving determination • Use motor coordination of arms, hands, fingers and legs • Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes and similar conditions
