About the Role

As a Hose Assembler you will work under the supervision of the Sentry Cell Supervisor, assembling, crimping, and testing Sentry and similar hoses from blueprints, work instructions, and production orders. The role may include rotating to other departments based on skill set and production needs. You will verify part availability, inspect hoses, ferrules, couplings, and nozzle tips for defects, set up crimp and cutting machines, and instruct helpers in component assembly. After crimping, you will confirm proper pressure, ensure clear passage, stamp part numbers, and perform hydro‑testing according to regulatory and Ansul requirements. Clean, organize, and restock the assembly area, and complete miscellaneous duties assigned by the supervisor. You must comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety duties, attend safety training, report accidents immediately, and follow emergency procedures. Responsibilities include using lock‑out tags after six months, handling hazardous and non‑hazardous waste, recognizing chemical hazard labels, and managing spills. Coaching others on safe practices is also expected. • Assemble and crimp hoses using crimp machines and appropriate die sets • Perform hydro‑testing of hoses per UL, ULC, SAA, and Ansul standards • Verify parts availability, inspect components for defects, and ensure proper fit • Set up and operate hose cutting machines to cut bulk hose to required lengths • Maintain accurate testing records and document production counts • Train and direct hose‑assembly helpers on proper procedures • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies, including safety training and incident reporting • Lift and handle hose assemblies and components up to 50 lb; perform repetitive bending • Complete daily time cards, scrap tickets, and discrepancy reports

What You Bring
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, able to read prints, follow work instructions, and perform basic math. Mechanical aptitude, the ability to learn crimper programming adjustments, and the capability to maintain testing records and complete daily time cards are required. The job involves lifting, pulling, and pushing hose assemblies and components up to 50 lb and repetitive bending.

Benefits
The scheduled shift is 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday‑Friday, with overtime as needed. Starting pay is $21.36 during training and $23.57 after certification, with rates determined by experience, education, and market data.
