About the Role
• Prepare preliminary and final independent detailed cost estimates for JOC/Formal Construction contracts to support negotiation. • Support price negotiations. • Prepare claim analyses and estimates. • Develop detailed construction cost estimates from drawings, specifications, sketches and square footage using standard data and tools. • Review contractor claims and proposals for merit and accountability.

What You Bring
Candidates must submit an up‑to‑date resume, any certifications or licenses, 3‑4 professional references, and a project list that includes values, dates and employer for each project. • Minimum 7 years of full‑time professional construction cost estimating experience across all divisions for facilities or school building projects. • Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs. • Extensive experience developing and estimating scope of work for change orders. • Ability to compare independent cost estimates with contractor proposals to quickly identify differences. • Ability to create scope of work from RFI/RFC responses and estimate detailed costs independently of contractor proposals. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college or university.

Benefits
The role is a full‑time Project Cost Estimator located onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with a salary range of $141,000‑$150,000.
