About the Role
Key duties include performing PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical and general building services faults, and completing compliance checks with accurate documentation. The engineer must respond promptly to call‑outs, support basic fabric maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry and HVAC checks, and ensure all work follows health and safety regulations and company procedures. • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across multiple commercial buildings. • Diagnose and fix electrical, mechanical, and building services faults. • Conduct compliance checks, record results, and maintain accurate documentation. • Respond swiftly to call‑outs to minimise client disruption. • Provide basic building fabric support including plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC inspections. • Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company procedures. • Liaise professionally with clients, building managers, and helpdesk teams. • Execute small remedial tasks and minor installations.

What You Bring
Foot Mobile Maintenance Engineer – based at The Crown Estate on Regent Street, St James, London. The role involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites. The successful candidate will be Level 3 qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, possess strong building services knowledge, and have experience in a client‑facing environment. The role requires independent work management, strong problem‑solving, proactive communication with clients, building managers and helpdesk teams, and the ability to carry out small remedial works and minor installations. Applicants need a Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, solid knowledge of HVAC, plant rooms, pumps, lighting, AHUs, FCUs, and experience in commercial or multi‑site facilities. Desired additional skills include the 18th Edition, F‑Gas certification, and experience operating a foot‑mobile in central London. • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent). • Possess strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plant rooms, pumps, lighting, AHUs and FCUs. • Demonstrate independent workload management and strong problem‑solving abilities. • Exhibit excellent communication and customer‑service skills. • Desirable: 18th Edition certification (electrical) or F‑Gas certification (mechanical). • Desirable: Experience operating a foot‑mobile in central London or similar environments.
