About the Role
• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties • Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and drainage issues • Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins and other sanitary ware • Repair or replace pipework, valves and fittings • Investigate and resolve hot‑water system and radiator issues • Ensure work complies with plumbing regulations and health‑and‑safety standards • Record job details, materials used and completion notes on handheld devices or job sheets • Remove, repair or replace bath panels, refitting them to professional standard • Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good condition • Work respectfully in residents’ homes, keeping the environment clean and safe • Identify and report additional works, safeguarding concerns or property issues • Participate in out‑of‑hours emergency rota as required • Adhere to all health‑and‑safety policies and procedures • Provide high levels of customer care at all times

What You Bring
We are looking for an experienced, dependable plumber to carry out responsive repairs in NHS mental health properties, working directly with residents and requiring a professional, customer‑focused approach. The role involves a steady flow of work, participation in an out‑of‑hours rota and a commitment to improving housing standards. • NVQ Level 2 or higher in Plumbing • Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance • Willingness to work in mental‑health environments • Full UK driving licence • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills • Excellent customer service experience in occupied homes • Good understanding of health‑and‑safety regulations and safe working practices • Competent using handheld devices or job management systems to record work • Willingness to work on the out‑of‑hours rota

Benefits
Annual salary up to £36,137.50 for a full‑time permanent role in Dartford and surrounding Kent, working 42.5 hours per week (8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday). The position includes a company van and fuel card.
