About the Role

The Associate Account Manager will proactively maintain and retain relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste customers in an assigned territory, handling outbound and inbound calls to preserve business and increase product penetration. • Conduct daily outbound and inbound calls to retain existing commercial/industrial waste customers • Promote full suite of Republic Services products to increase customer penetration • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of services, pricing structures, and line‑of‑business offerings • Execute contract re‑signs and manage cancellations according to escalation policy • Document all customer interactions, meetings, and proposals in Salesforce • Capture customer emails, reduce rate restrictions, and limit customer credits • Review retention metrics weekly with Sales Manager and adjust strategies accordingly

What You Bring

The role requires daily outreach to customers, deep knowledge of Republic Services’ offerings and pricing, execution of contract renewals, handling cancellations per policy, and documentation of activities in Salesforce, while aiming to minimize rate restrictions and customer credits. Preferred candidates have waste or transportation industry experience, while minimum qualifications include a high school diploma/GED and 0–2 years of customer service experience. • Preferred: experience in waste or transportation industry • Minimum: high school diploma/GED and 0‑2 years customer service experience
