About the Role
• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates throughout design and delivery phases. • Produce and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries and funding data to stakeholders. • Coordinate cost information from design teams, contractors, subcontractors and vendors for validation and auditing. • Compile built cost records for benchmarking and continuous improvement. • Lead procurement strategy, pricing reviews, scope validation and commercial negotiations to achieve fair contract prices. • Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement. • Own change control: review, estimate, negotiate and reconcile change orders, and manage post‑contract cost variances. • Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning, contingency management and commitment tracking. • Implement robust cost control systems, including Earned Value Management where applicable. • Integrate cost with schedule and scope, working closely with project controls and scheduling teams. • Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact and lead value‑engineering and cost‑optimization initiatives. • Monitor market trends such as escalation, labour availability and material pricing, providing timely insights. • Serve as the primary client interface to ensure objectives are met and service excellence delivered. • Prepare and present executive‑level updates, written comments on contractor submissions and cost estimate revisions. • Ensure adherence to internal Business Management Systems and company delivery methodologies. • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high‑performance, one‑business culture. • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

What You Bring
The firm is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to serve as the primary client interface on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre programme. The role ensures delivery on time, within budget and to the highest standards, emphasizing governance, commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement while promoting Turner & Townsend’s purpose, values and vision. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or a related field, and have 5–7+ years of cost management or project control experience in mission‑critical environments such as data centres. Construction consultancy experience, strong knowledge of MEP systems, budgeting, EVM, procurement and commercial management, as well as excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder‑management skills are required; RICS accreditation is a plus. • Demonstrate excellence in financial management, including margin tracking and monthly fee/resource forecasting.
