About the Role

Under general supervision, the engineer will collect and analyze data from work sites, surveys, GIS, geotechnical sources, and other matrices to support project development and construction. They will conduct research and inspections of site conditions and infrastructure to verify compliance with rules, standards, and permits, and provide entry‑level technical assistance on design and safety considerations. The position requires generating complete and concise documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field logs, and adhering to safety guidelines and site‑specific procedures. The engineer will complete assigned training, exercise ethical decision‑making, and perform additional responsibilities as business needs dictate. • Provide technical assistance for design, development, and construction of infrastructure projects. • Collect and analyze data from sites, surveys, GIS, and geotechnical sources. • Perform research, inspections, and compliance checks on existing and proposed conditions. • Generate accurate documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field logs. • Follow safety guidelines, site procedures, and WSP’s Code of Conduct. • Complete assigned training and handle additional tasks as needed.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related discipline) and 0‑1 years of post‑education experience, strong research and analytical skills, familiarity with civil construction codes, and solid interpersonal and communication abilities. Candidates must demonstrate self‑leadership, attention to detail, ability to multitask, proficiency with technical writing and common software tools, and a commitment to workplace safety and WSP policies. Preferred qualifications include an Engineer‑in‑Training certification, experience with design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and prior internships or professional organization involvement. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field) with 0–1 years experience. • Demonstrate strong research, analytical, and communication skills. • Familiarity with civil construction laws, codes, and design/build processes. • Proficiency with technical writing, office software, and basic design tools. • Preferred: Engineer‑in‑Training certification and experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, etc.
