About the Role

In this role, the operator reads and interprets work orders, sets machine controls, monitors production, and ensures that machined parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances. Continuous improvement of programs, documentation of changes, and adherence to safety policies are key aspects of daily work. • Read and interpret work instructions, prints, and job orders for dimensions, tolerances, and tooling. • Troubleshoot, edit, and optimize new production programs with assistance. • Calculate and set machine controls (cutting depth, speed, feed, coolant flow) for each work order. • Document program changes and processes to enable repeatable setups and reduce production time. • Monitor machine operation and verify machined parts against specifications using gauges, calipers, and micrometers. • Deburr parts to meet blueprint specifications. • Follow all safety policies and procedures. • Set up machines flexibly to maximize shop output.

What You Bring

Candidates should have 1–3 years of CNC mill or lathe experience, be skilled in using precision measuring tools, possess basic computer and math abilities, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Physical requirements include standing up to 10 hours per day, frequent lifting of up to 50 lb (70 lb with assistance), and the ability to perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking. • 1–3 years experience as CNC mill/lathe operator preferred. • Proficient in measuring parts with micrometers, calipers, height, thread, and depth gauges. • Basic computer skills and ability to perform basic math. • Strong attention to detail and ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals. • Flexibility to work varied assignments, overtime, and weekend shifts. • Physical ability to stand 8–10 hours, lift up to 50 lb (70 lb with assistance), and perform grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking.
