About the Role

The role involves investigation and design of water and wastewater schemes across all stages, from high‑level master planning to detailed design and commissioning. A key element is people management, working closely with the NI Water Account Lead and Resource Lead to grow, line‑manage and develop the Belfast water team. • Conduct investigation and design for water and wastewater schemes from master planning to commissioning. • Manage and develop the Belfast water team in collaboration with NI Water Account Lead and Resource Lead.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a civil engineering or related degree and Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent). Required are proven people‑management experience, understanding of CDM responsibilities, solid knowledge of water/wastewater specifications, and strong communication and leadership skills. Desirable experience includes working with NI Water or similar utilities, digital proficiency (Civils 3D, GIS, SharePoint, AI tools) and contribution to low‑carbon solutions. • Hold a civil engineering (or related) degree and Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent). • Demonstrated people‑management experience building and supporting multidisciplinary teams. • Knowledge of CDM regulations and water/wastewater specifications and standards. • Strong communication, collaboration and leadership abilities. • Desirable: experience with NI Water, Uisce Éireann, Scottish Water, United Utilities or similar. • Desirable: proficiency with digital tools such as Civils 3D, GIS, SharePoint, AI/Copilot. • Desirable: involvement in low‑carbon solution development.
