About the Role
The role involves on‑site inspection of structural elements such as concrete, steel, formwork, rebar, precast components and related civil infrastructure. The inspector monitors contractor activities to verify compliance with approved drawings, method statements, material specifications and relevant codes. Any non‑conformances, delays, or deviations are promptly reported to the Site Engineer or Resident Engineer. The position also oversees quality control procedures, maintains detailed site records, and validates daily contractor reports and resource adequacy. Coordination with other discipline inspectors ensures proper integration of works, while participation in technical and progress meetings supports project alignment. Health, safety and environmental regulations are strictly enforced throughout the site. • Inspect concrete, steel, formwork, rebar, precast elements and civil infrastructure on‑site. • Monitor contractor activities for compliance with shop drawings, method statements and material specifications. • Report non‑conformances, delays, or deviations to the Site Engineer or Resident Engineer. • Witness material testing and enforce quality control procedures. • Maintain daily inspection logs, progress updates and photographic evidence. • Review contractor daily reports and assess manpower and equipment adequacy. • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to resolve interface issues. • Participate in technical and progress meetings. • Assist in reviewing method statements and ITPs from a site implementation perspective. • Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
