About the Role

The company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work remotely and design complex cooling and HVAC systems, including air distribution, chiller plants, and alternative energy solutions for mission‑critical facilities. This role involves integrating mechanical engineering requirements into overall facility designs and supporting projects from concept through construction. • Support project team during design and construction stages • Design air distribution, hydronic, and automated temperature control systems • Integrate mechanical engineering requirements into facility designs • Develop drawing and specification documents for architects, contractors, and owners • Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions • Coordinate with internal team members and external vendors/manufacturers • Communicate mechanical concepts and decisions to clients and stakeholders • Maintain and develop client relationships • Mentor and train junior engineers • Track and coordinate HVAC, Energy, Controls, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Plumbing, and Fuel Oil systems • Review mechanical designs and drawings before issuance • Perform CFD evaluations for existing and new facilities • Select and schedule major equipment • Develop project specifications • Survey and evaluate existing conditions • Perform construction administration tasks

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is comfortable with Building Information Modeling in Revit, possesses strong communication skills, and enjoys collaborating with internal and external design, client, and construction teams. A solid foundation in mechanical or architectural engineering, coupled with hands‑on experience in high‑performing commercial or data‑center environments, is essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with a focus on building systems • At least 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems for high‑performance commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical/data‑center buildings • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, and Pipeflow • Knowledge of building, mechanical, and energy codes • Ability to travel to project sites • EIT or PE certification (if eligible) • Experience with interior and exterior CFD analysis • Mission‑critical/data‑center project experience • Experience on international projects
