About the Role
Key responsibilities include conceptual design and engineering of cleanrooms and dry rooms, developing tool‑layout integrated facility plans, and supporting overall facility master planning such as zoning, gowning, tool move‑in, and AMHS. You will coordinate utilities, architecture, and structural design, prepare tender drawings, review contractor submittals, and provide construction support for cleanroom protocols and certification. The position also focuses on equipment and technology integration, applying knowledge of material, waste flow, area classification, and HVAC zoning while collaborating with vendors for equipment selection, installation, and validation. Ensuring adherence to industry standards (SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA) and working with regulatory bodies to meet safety and environmental requirements are essential. You will guide junior engineers, support training initiatives, and contribute to business development and proposal activities. Documentation duties include preparing design basis reports, coordinated engineering deliverables, and presentation materials, while monitoring progress, quality, and schedule compliance. • Conceptual design and engineering of cleanrooms and dry rooms for semiconductor facilities. • Develop layouts integrating tool placement, utilities, and supporting infrastructure. • Support facility design, interior layouts, and master planning (zoning, gowning, tool move‑in, AMHS, project phasing). • Coordinate with process utilities, base‑build utilities, architecture, and structural engineering. • Prepare tender drawings, functional specifications, and review contractor submittals. • Lead construction support for cleanroom protocols, installation, and certification. • Integrate equipment, material, and waste flow concepts; assess HVAC zoning and area classification. • Collaborate with vendors on equipment selection, installation, and validation. • Ensure compliance with SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other international/local standards. • Work with regulatory bodies and internal teams to meet safety and environmental requirements. • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and assist training initiatives. • Contribute to business development and proposal activities. • Prepare design basis reports, coordinated engineering deliverables, and presentation materials. • Monitor project progress, quality, and schedule adherence.

What You Bring
We are hiring a Senior Design Engineer – Cleanroom for semiconductor and battery fabrication facilities. The role requires deep cleanroom design, engineering, and qualification experience on semiconductor projects. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance, drive process efficiency, and optimize costs. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering and at least 15 years of semiconductor cleanroom design experience. Required skills cover semiconductor process knowledge, utility design, CFD and energy modeling, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and IES‑VE. Preferred experience involves greenfield and brownfield FAB projects and sustainability practices. • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture or Engineering; 15+ years cleanroom design experience. • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, IES‑VE and CFD/energy modeling tools. • Strong knowledge of semiconductor processes (lithography, etching, deposition, CMP, metrology) and utility design. • Preferred: greenfield/brownfield FAB design and sustainability practices. • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, decision‑making, and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
