About the Role
Superintendents are responsible for overall direction of field operations, completion schedules, and labor budget outcomes for their construction projects, including any Specialty Department work. They direct and supervise all Pepper Construction field personnel and subcontractors on the jobsite to achieve successful completion, and they establish positive working relationships with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors. Project management duties include planning and scheduling the project with short‑interval schedules, allocating manpower, and developing a working budget based on estimates and the project timeline. Superintendents control job progress by managing subcontractors, resolving problems, and applying proper documentation, quality control, and safety techniques. They monitor labor, material, and equipment costs weekly to ensure profitability while maximizing customer satisfaction and demonstrate superior construction process knowledge. People management responsibilities involve ensuring customer satisfaction by recognizing and meeting client needs, providing leadership through team‑building communication, motivation, sound judgment, and active listening. They also mentor and coach other Pepper Construction supervisors to foster professional growth across the crew. Marketing responsibilities require representing the company to clients, architects, engineers, building officials, and inspectors, earning their respect through professional appearance and conduct. Superintendents consistently act in a professional manner to uphold the company's quality reputation. • Ensure all parties understand the importance of safety to the project and provide necessary education.

What You Bring
