About the Role

Cleaners maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in Sainsbury’s stores by completing daily tasks such as operating machinery, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping, and cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and trolley bays, while ensuring health‑and‑safety procedures are followed. Full training is provided by Arcus. • Perform daily cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and wiping surfaces. • Operate cleaning machinery and clean toilets, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and trolley bays. • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

What You Bring

The role requires an eye for detail, a positive attitude to cleaning and customer service, and a smartphone with NFC capability to use the Arcus Connect app for time and attendance. Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential, as on‑the‑job training will be supplied. • Provide own NFC‑enabled smartphone for Arcus Connect time‑tracking app. • Eye for detail and positive attitude to cleaning and customer service; prior experience helpful but not required.

Benefits

Sainsbury’s stores operate seven days a week, and Arcus offers flexible shift patterns, including 5‑ and 6‑day weeks with early‑morning, morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, as well as weekend work. The current schedule for this position is Sunday 11:30‑18:00, Monday and Tuesday 17:00‑22:00, Saturday 05:00‑10:00, with Wednesday‑Friday off. Overtime opportunities may increase hours. Benefits include immediate start, monthly pay, 28 days of holiday on a pro‑rata basis, flexible hours with overtime, death‑in‑service insurance, pension scheme, cycle‑to‑work scheme, further career opportunities, and training and development. • Work scheduled shifts: Sunday 11:30‑18:00, Monday/Tuesday 17:00‑22:00, Saturday 05:00‑10:00; optional overtime. • Earn £12.21 per hour, 21 hours weekly, with benefits such as 28 days holiday (pro‑rata), pension, insurance, cycle‑to‑work, and training.
