About the Role
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on non‑critical facility components to ensure reliability and efficiency. • Carry out routine repairs and upkeep, applying mechanical knowledge to keep systems in top condition. • Monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and respond to alarms using standard operating procedures. • Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to established protocols. • Maintain accurate site logs for permits, including Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and scripts. • Complete routine work order requests under supervision. • Support incident management processes and contribute to small‑scale projects. • Collaborate with other departments during maintenance activities. • Shadow senior team members on infrastructure projects to develop technical skills and industry knowledge.

What You Bring
The Critical Facilities Engineer Level II (Junior, mechanical‑focused) role supports site operations in a data‑center environment and operates on a 4‑on/4‑off shift schedule with occasional nights. This position offers a pathway to break into the data‑center field and advance a career in mechanical maintenance, vendor coordination, and infrastructure projects. • Hold an NVQ Level II or III (or equivalent) in a relevant field with some experience. • Demonstrate a good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including refrigeration basics. • Exhibit strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow standard procedures.
