About the Role

The Road Mechanic position supports Sunbelt’s fast‑growing rental operations by performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide variety of equipment in both remote and on‑site locations. Technicians work with aerial work platforms, general construction tools, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil‑and‑gas equipment while adhering to strict safety standards. • Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management • Provide own mechanic tools as needed • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize equipment downtime • Service aerial work platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC and oil‑gas equipment • Follow safety protocols and handle heavy lifting (50 lb +) indoors and outdoors

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, with trade school training preferred, and possess 3–5 years of experience servicing diesel or heavy‑construction equipment. A valid driver’s license, the ability to provide personal tools, knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment are essential; bilingual ability may be required for some locations. • High school diploma or GED required; trade school training desired • 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel, heavy‑construction, or specialty equipment preferred • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location
