About the Role

The Building Manager role at Cushman & Wakefield in Uxbridge, London involves overseeing the day‑to‑day operational aspects of a prominent building while representing the company’s brand values. The incumbent will coordinate operational tasks, ensure compliance with risk‑management practices, act as the first point of contact for occupier queries, and maintain regular communications with tenants. • Respond to and resolve complaints quickly. • Maintain legal and statutory compliance with inspections and repairs on schedule. • Identify required works and appoint a principal contractor. • Verify building staff wages/fees align with the scope of services. • Conduct regular risk assessments. • Follow all Cushman & Wakefield HR procedures, including absence, sickness, expense claims, and performance reviews. • Hold monthly one‑to‑one meetings with direct reports, manage performance reviews, holidays, and absences. • Notify the property surveyor immediately of tenant activities that may breach lease agreements. • Manage occupier queries related to facilities management services. • Communicate regularly with occupiers about day‑to‑day building activities. • Perform regular building inspections and produce reports. • Develop and maintain positive, client‑focused relationships with surveyors, service partners, and occupiers. • Produce and manage service charge budgets, reconciliations, and quarterly variance reports. • Oversee all aspects of contractor activities on site.
