About the Role
Post‑construction monitoring is critical for balancing renewable energy development with wildlife stewardship. Your field work will directly support bird and bat mortality monitoring and other wildlife surveys, providing data that informs mitigation strategies and regulatory compliance for wind energy projects. You will spend three to five days per week in the field, often traveling on foot across uneven terrain and operating a rental truck to reach remote sites. Shifts may extend up to 12 hours and occasionally include weekend or holiday work. Accommodations near Medicine Hat are coordinated for overnight shifts, and work schedules are set monthly for consistency. • Collect and record bird and bat mortality data and conduct wildlife surveys post‑construction. • Manage, organize, and report field data for wind energy projects. • Travel to remote field sites, operate a rental truck, and work independently in outdoor conditions. • Uphold ERM’s safety culture and promote safety awareness on‑site. • Maintain a professional, collaborative field team environment. • Work 3‑5 days per week in the field, up to 12‑hour days, with possible weekend/holiday shifts.

Benefits
Hourly pay ranges from $30.29 to $34.60 based on education, experience and other factors; the role is limited‑term and non‑exempt. Employees working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for a benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life & disability insurance. Bonus eligibility applies to regular employees but not to casual or Flexforce staff. • Compensation: $30.29‑$34.60 hourly, limited‑term, non‑exempt; eligible for limited benefits if >20 hrs/week.
