About the Role
The HVAC Shift Supervisor will join an engineering and facilities team supporting a multi‑million‑square‑foot client portfolio. The role is based on‑site in Franklin, MA (also covering Hopkinton) and operates on a 2nd shift (1500‑2330) or 3rd shift (2230‑0700), reporting to the Plant Lead. Under the Facility team’s direction, you will supervise the shift crew and vendors, oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and life‑safety systems, and ensure work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, respond to emergencies, prepare operational reports, and conduct inspections to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements. The position requires hands‑on tasks such as painting, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and tenant service requests, as well as documenting work performance through the work‑order system. You will schedule preventive maintenance, procure stock materials, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with engineering leads and project managers on HVAC/R priorities. • Supervise shift crew and vendors, overseeing HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and life‑safety systems. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and respond promptly to emergencies and alarms. • Prepare monthly/quarterly operational reports and technical evaluations of building systems. • Conduct facility inspections, document findings, and recommend system improvements. • Schedule maintenance, manage work orders, and procure stock materials such as chemicals and supplies. • Mentor junior engineering staff and coordinate with project managers and stakeholders on HVAC/R priorities.

What You Bring
Physical demands include lifting up to 80 lb, working at heights, climbing ladders up to 30 ft, and operating in extreme temperatures or adverse conditions, with availability for holidays, weekends, and after‑hours emergencies. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, have five or more years of relevant HVAC experience (Senior or Lead Technician), at least two years of people‑management experience, EPA Section 608 universal certification, a Journeyman Refrigeration Technician’s license, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with CMMS/BMS, Microsoft Office, strong troubleshooting, and comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, fluid, and electrical systems is required. • Require 5+ years HVAC/maintenance experience, 2+ years supervisory experience, EPA 608 certification, Journeyman Refrigeration license, and valid driver’s license. • Proficient with CMMS/BMS, Microsoft Office, and possess strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. • Able to lift up to 80 lb, work at heights, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and operate in extreme temperatures.

The estimated total compensation is $85,280 – $89,440 per year, with additional benefits such as a 401(k) match, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, paid parental leave, PTO, company holidays, and early access to wages via Daily Pay.
