About the Role

You will provide project management and technical services across multiple environmental projects, act as the company representative with clients, regulators, and subcontractors, and oversee the creation of execution, health and safety, and quality assurance plans. Responsibilities include establishing program requirements, monitoring deliverables, directing business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions, and collaborating with managers and engineers to develop budgets, schedules, and plans that meet or exceed project goals. You will also support business development, prepare proposal packages, and guide junior staff through technical challenges. • Manage remediation projects of varying size and complexity, overseeing field investigations, remedial construction, budget control, and client/regulatory liaison. • Supervise and mentor junior professional and technical staff throughout project execution. • Develop and implement Project Execution Plans, Health & Safety Plans, and QA/QC documents. • Establish project requirements, monitor deliverables for compliance, and ensure milestones are met. • Coordinate budgets, schedules, and plans with managers, engineers, and discipline leads. • Provide business development support, including win strategy and proposal preparation. • Offer technical support for cost estimating, construction sequencing, community outreach, and regulatory permitting.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead remediation projects of varying size and complexity. The role includes supervising junior staff, managing field investigations and remedial construction, controlling budgets, and serving as the primary liaison with clients and regulatory agencies. Additionally, the manager will mentor junior personnel and provide technical support as needed. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related field and brings at least 12 years of relevant experience, with professional registration and Parsons’ project management certification preferred. A diverse background in remedial design, construction, cost estimating, and project planning is required, and experience with landfill closure construction is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills, knowledge of industry practices and regulations, and the ability to leverage current technology are essential. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field with 12+ years of experience. • Demonstrated expertise in remedial design, construction, cost estimating, and project planning; landfill closure experience preferred. • Possess professional registration and meet Parsons’ project management certification requirements. • Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills and knowledge of industry regulations.
