Senior Engineer Electrical

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Water area of our Energy and Utilities business in Brisbane. The role reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and oversees technical, financial, contractual, resource, safety, and quality aspects of allocated low‑voltage (LV) projects. In addition to project responsibilities, the position includes mentoring and managing junior LV and Control Systems Engineers to support project delivery and staff development goals. • Project management of control‑system or LV projects.

What You Bring

• Electrical Engineering degree. • Strong LV system design experience (calculations, construction design, schematics). • Expertise in LV power distribution protection studies and panel design. • Proven electrical design, fault finding, and commissioning of industrial automation plants. • Experience in control systems design, programming, and commissioning. • Hands‑on knowledge of SCADA, PLCs and VSDs. • Familiarity with safety‑in‑design and risk assessment methods (HAZOP, CHAZOP, CHAIR, HIDRA, RAMBO, FMECA). • Ability to work safely in an industrial electrical environment. • Team‑oriented with leadership and mentoring skills for junior engineers.
