About the Role

The manager will lead multidisciplinary teams, prepare engineering calculations, develop design drawings and visual aids, and produce multimodal street designs. Responsibilities include cost estimating, technical specifications, quality‑control reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers. The position requires independent execution of design tasks within budget and schedule constraints. • Lead BRT planning, preliminary, and final design projects as team or discipline lead. • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids for BRT infrastructure. • Develop and review multimodal street designs and technical specifications. • Generate construction cost estimates and technical effort forecasts. • Conduct quality‑control reviews of design calculations and drawings. • Coordinate project budgets and schedules, ensuring compliance with requirements. • Mentor and provide leadership to entry‑level engineers and multidisciplinary teams. • Support business development initiatives and client interactions.

What You Bring

Minimum qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a PE license, eight years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or equivalent software. Candidates must have roadway and BRT/LRT design experience and be U.S. citizens. Preferred qualifications include ten years of transportation design experience, prior leadership roles, and strong business development and communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience. • Professional Engineering (PE) license. • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation/Power InRoads, or OpenRoads Designer. • Experience in roadway design and BRT/LRT projects. • U.S. citizenship required. • Preferred: 10+ years transportation design, 2+ years leadership, 5+ years project management. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interpret design standards. • Established relationships with transportation agency clients.
