About the Role

• Supervise daily workshop operations to meet production schedules, targets and quality standards. • Prioritise workflow, allocate resources and schedule jobs to maximise efficiency and on‑time delivery. • Manage inventory, procure materials and maintain workshop equipment for uninterrupted production. • Lead risk‑management activities to minimise disruptions and ensure business continuity. • Build trust‑based relationships with customers through proactive communication and issue resolution. • Provide regular updates to customers on job status, milestones and changes during execution. • Ensure work conforms to quality standards, resolve issues promptly and implement corrective actions. • Train and monitor teams to embed service and technical standards in all customer‑facing interactions. • Report production performance, KPIs, operational risks and improvement initiatives to leadership.

Sandvik Mining is seeking a hands‑on Workshop Production Supervisor for its Mt Isa facility in Queensland. The role leads day‑to‑day workshop operations, supervising a skilled team and ensuring high‑quality service and repairs on Sandvik equipment. It focuses on safety, efficiency, customer focus and continuous improvement, and is open to both residential and FIFO candidates. • Qualified tradesperson with proven leadership experience in a mechanical workshop, preferably in heavy industry, mining or construction equipment. • Strong communication, time‑management and customer‑focused mindset. • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Excel for planning and reporting. • Ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts and foster a positive safety culture. • Relevant leadership qualifications or ongoing professional development are highly regarded.
