About the Role

Key responsibilities include operating the vehicle in compliance with WM safety policies, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws, performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and completing DVIR reports. Drivers must report unsafe conditions, incidents, or service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch, attend required training, and communicate customer requests while ensuring containers are dumped cleanly and end‑of‑day paperwork is completed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments to transport waste or recyclables. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports. • Follow WM safety, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations while driving. • Communicate incidents, service interruptions, and customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Dump containers cleanly and complete end‑of‑day documentation and check‑out. • Assist fellow drivers as needed to meet customer needs.

What You Bring

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end load lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable material to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Depending on the route, drivers may work as commercial, residential, or roll‑off operators, each requiring skilled backing maneuvers and navigation of high‑traffic roadways, alleyways, driveways, and lots. Applicants must hold a valid CDL Class A or B with an air‑brake endorsement (or have one year of equivalent recent military driving experience), be at least 18 years old, and be legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and the role requires physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, and sitting. • Hold a valid CDL Class A or B with air‑brake endorsement (or equivalent recent military driving experience). • Be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada.
