About the Role
The Materials Associate is tasked with accurately processing all incoming and outgoing shipments, keeping work areas organized and clean, verifying product quality, and maintaining proper documentation for every order. The role demands attention to detail, safe material handling, and active communication with the production team to meet customer expectations and production schedules. The Materials Team functions as the circulatory system of Base, ensuring high‑tech components and finished battery units move flawlessly through the facility to customers. By safeguarding shipment accuracy and streamlining part flow to the production line, the team underpins Base’s commitment to reliability and a sustainable energy future. • Securely package and wrap products to prevent damage during transit. • Verify shipping paperwork in ERP for correct quantity and parts. • Generate bills of lading and maintain organized shipping documentation. • Monitor conveyor lines, unload finished units, and load products onto trailers or storage areas. • Inspect products for quality and packaging compliance before shipment. • Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely for material movement. • Manage recycling of materials in compliance with environmental regulations. • Process inbound shipments, verifying counts and quality against paperwork. • Deliver in‑process materials or parts to production areas as needed. • Perform visual inspections of received items for accuracy and quality. • Record and maintain accurate inventory data, including spot checks and month‑end inventories. • Load and unload trailers, sweeping and cleaning to preserve product integrity. • Assist with assembly or production processes when required. • Perform local deliveries and pickups using company vehicles. • Participate in daily production meetings to share shipping/receiving updates. • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and aisles.

What You Bring
• Hold a high school diploma or GED; 2+ years of shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred. • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to lift 50‑70 lb. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. • Comfortable with manual labor and physically demanding work up to 12 hours per day.
