Job Highlights
About the Role
The technician will independently run large sites or supervise other technicians, providing expert support in areas such as CRAC/CRAH, centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers and control sequencing. Responsibilities include handling complex breakdowns on‑site or remotely, commissioning standard and high‑capacity equipment, advising on system installations and reviewing technical documents such as wiring diagrams, P&ID and pressure‑enthalpy charts. • Troubleshoot, repair, and service HVACR products such as chilled water systems, water chillers, and CRAH/C units in data centres. • Run large sites solo or supervise technicians to meet customer satisfaction. • Provide expert support in CRAC/CRAH, centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers, and control sequencing. • Diagnose and resolve complex breakdowns on‑site or remotely via phone/computer. • Commission standard and high‑capacity equipment and advise on system installations. • Interpret technical documents including wiring diagrams, P&ID, and pressure‑enthalpy charts.

What You Bring
Candidates must have hands‑on experience with chilled water systems, chillers or CRAHs, preferably within a data centre environment, and hold a qualification in refrigeration and air‑conditioning. A full UK driving licence, City & Guilds (or equivalent) safe‑handling or refrigerant certification, F‑Gas (cat 1) qualification, and familiarity with Carrier and other manufacturers’ equipment are required. • Required experience with chilled water systems, chillers or CRAHs, preferably in data centre settings. • Hold a refrigeration and air‑conditioning qualification, full UK driving licence, and F‑Gas (cat 1) certification.
