About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Mechanical Coordinator supervises daily corrective and preventive maintenance activities within the BOS area. The role provides hands‑on leadership to an integrated maintenance team, ensuring safety, equipment reliability, and operational performance, especially during shutdowns and critical maintenance events. Coordination of teams and service providers is essential to meet specifications, timelines, and budgets. • Lead health, safety and environmental performance to ensure a zero‑harm workplace • Apply BlueScope maintenance processes, systems and standards to eliminate inefficiencies and rework • Develop and execute asset strategies and maintenance plans for the assigned area • Prepare detailed task and job documentation for safe, efficient and cost‑effective maintenance • Coordinate maintenance teams and service providers to complete work safely, to specification, on time and within budget • Continuously improve tool‑time, quality and cost outcomes through planning and supervision

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is an experienced Mechanical Coordinator, Supervisor, or skilled tradesperson ready to lead in both business‑as‑usual and shutdown environments. Required qualifications include a relevant mechanical trade or engineering credential, a NSW driver licence, and a White Card, together with at least five years of heavy‑industry experience and a strong safety mindset. Candidates should be team‑oriented, ownership‑driven, focused on continuous improvement, and results‑focused. • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental standards • Minimum five years’ heavy‑industry experience with asset management knowledge • Relevant mechanical trade and/or engineering qualification • NSW driver licence • White Card (General Construction Induction) • Team‑oriented and leads through clear values • Action‑focused, practical and results‑driven
