About the Role
Every role at HDR contributes to making a difference and changing the world for the better, and the Project Accountant 1 position supports this mission by handling key financial functions across projects. • Handle client invoicing, AR collections, project budgeting, and assist with A/P coding, timesheets, and expense reports. • Manage and maintain accurate contract documentation, including fee and budget entry. • Provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issues with business groups and project staff. • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements using HDR’s project accounting system. • Support multiple project managers and staff daily.

What You Bring
• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. • Excellent verbal and written communication, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone etiquette. • Flexibility to prioritize multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast‑paced environment. • Self‑motivated, well‑organized, and detail‑oriented. • Ability to handle confidential information. • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). • Positive attitude and commitment to active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred). • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (preferred).
