Structural Engineer III
Design and analysis of marine and waterfront structures for ports and coastal projects
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Perform structural analysis and design for marine and waterfront structures such as ports, wharves, piers, bulkheads, and retaining walls. • Prepare structural calculations, technical memoranda, design reports, and supporting documentation per project and client standards. • Develop plans, details, and specifications in coordination with senior engineers and designers. • Apply relevant codes, standards, and guidelines to ensure regulatory, safety, and quality compliance. • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams—including civil, geotechnical, coastal, and construction professionals—to support integrated delivery. • Participate in internal quality control processes and address review comments under senior guidance. • Support project phases from conceptual and preliminary design through final design and construction assistance. • Maintain organized project files and documentation according to AECOM procedures and quality systems. • Prepare or support design documentation using AutoCAD or Revit. • Produce clear, well‑documented engineering calculations and reports.

What You Bring
• Use SAP2000, MathCAD, and Microsoft Excel for structural analysis and calculations. • Hold a BA/BS degree and at least four years of professional structural engineering experience. • Possess a master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred). • Have exposure to infrastructure, transportation, marine, or waterfront projects (preferred). • Work effectively in collaborative, team‑based engineering environments. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, quality, and technical accuracy. • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally for technical documentation and coordination.
