About the Role
The role involves quality control construction observations for roadway and bridge projects, including site work, traffic protection, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation, coordination, and safety. Inspectors must read contract documents and construction plans, monitor construction sequencing, cost, and performance decisions, and ensure proper document control, quality assurance, and project record keeping. Consistent record keeping across contracts is also required. • Conduct quality‑control inspections for roadway and bridge construction activities. • Review contract documents and construction plans to verify compliance. • Track construction sequencing, costs, and performance decisions. • Maintain accurate document control, quality‑assurance records, and uniform contract reporting. • Ensure proper safety, traffic protection, and utility relocation coordination on site. • Participate in internal culture initiatives such as a Women’s Organization and wellness programs.

What You Bring
Candidates need a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of FDOT-related highway or bridge construction inspection experience. A valid driver’s license is required; CTQP certification is preferred.
