About the Role

The Senior Paving Construction Inspector will oversee urban and rural pavement rehabilitation and preservation projects valued between $1 million and $25 million. Based in Portland, Augusta, Eliot (ME) or Merrimack (NH), the inspector reports to the Resident Engineer and may act as the engineer’s representative depending on experience. • Interface with contractors and attend project meetings • Mentor or supervise other inspectors on behalf of the resident engineer • Prepare daily reports and calculate unit‑price quantities • Coordinate independent material sampling and testing • Monitor traffic maintenance during construction • Capture and compile photographs to track daily progress • Exercise ethical decision‑making regarding company funds and resources

What You Bring

• High school diploma and 0‑2 years relevant experience • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans and specifications • Valid driver’s license and strong safety record • Associate of Science in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred) • Proficiency with MS Word and construction‑management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) • NETCP HMA certification or ability to obtain within three months
