About the Role
Carpenters on construction sites perform a wide range of tasks, often assisting other trades and laborers. Responsibilities include constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wood, plywood, metal, and wallboard structures using hand and power tools; installing doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials and millwork; building rough structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, and temporary shelters from drawings or instructions; and measuring and cutting materials to required dimensions. Additional duties involve erecting scaffolding and related safety elements, loading and moving materials, performing general partition layout and framing, rough and finish carpentry, selective demolition, site clean‑up, and supervising subcontractors when directed by the foreman or superintendent. Workers must be able to lift, squat, and pull up to 100 lb repeatedly and may be required to work overtime, weekends, or night shifts. • Construct, erect, install, and repair wood, plywood, metal, and wallboard structures. • Install doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials, and millwork. • Build concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters from sketches or blueprints. • Measure, cut, and size boards, timbers, and plywood using hand and power tools. • Erect scaffolding, ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways; install subflooring and weld steel members. • Load, unload, and transport materials on‑site from pallets, skids, or trucks. • Perform partition layout, framing, sheetrock installation, and rough in‑wall blocking. • Execute finish carpentry tasks such as door, frame, hardware, and trim installation. • Conduct selective demolition of non‑load‑bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring and clean debris. • Maintain site safety with barricades, visqueen, floor protection, and handrails. • Supervise subcontractors and shift crews as directed by the foreman or superintendent. • Meet physical demands, lifting up to 100 lb and working flexible schedules including overtime.

What You Bring
The role requires at least four years of commercial construction experience, with OSHA 10 and an operator’s certificate preferred. Candidates should be detail‑oriented, well‑organized, task‑oriented, reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. • Minimum four years of commercial construction experience. • OSHA 10 certification (preferred) and operator’s certificate (preferred). • Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and able to multi‑task. • Reliable, task‑oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines. • Self‑motivated, capable of independent and team work.
