About the Role

The Assembly Technician is responsible for performing routine and non‑routine technical work on a variety of life support, air‑to‑air refueling, and personal survival equipment systems. The role involves diverse tasks to ensure the functionality and reliability of these critical systems. In this function you will build, assemble, inspect, test, calibrate, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace, modify, and program a range of products and product lines. You will construct and assemble new products in their developmental stage and work with engineers on prototype units, first‑article builds, and upgrades to existing units. You will set up and operate metal‑fabricating equipment such as rolling machines, drills, and saws. You will also use a variety of hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measurement and test equipment. All work activities must be documented and records maintained for current and future reference, and any other related duties may be assigned. • Build, assemble, inspect, test, calibrate, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace, modify, and program diverse life‑support and survival equipment. • Construct prototype and developmental units while collaborating with engineers. • Operate metal‑fabricating equipment such as rolling machines, drills, and saws. • Use hand and power tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measurement/test devices. • Document work activities and maintain accurate records. • Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and tolerance stack‑ups.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a two‑year technical degree in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical engineering. Candidates must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. No relocation assistance is provided, and all applicants must reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA, although active‑duty military members are exempt from the geographic restriction. The position requires access to information or hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR – U.S. citizens, permanent residents, political asylees, or refugees. Three years of troubleshooting experience acquired within the last five years is required. Candidates must be able to read, understand, and interpret technical and written instructions, engineering blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, including tolerance stack‑up. • Hold a 2‑year technical degree in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical fields. • Be a U.S. person (citizen, green‑card holder, asylee, or refugee) and work without sponsorship. • Reside within 70 miles of Davenport, IA (military active‑duty exempt). • Possess at least 3 years of recent troubleshooting experience.
