About the Role

Key responsibilities include reviewing, updating, and developing EHS programs such as IIPP, HAZCOM, EAP/FPP, LOTO, confined‑space, biosafety, lab safety, and radiation/laser safety. You will provide technical oversight for air, water, and chemical management and support ISO 14001 program management. The role also involves preparing and submitting environmental reports (CUPA HMBP, CARB GHG, refrigerant management), ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, leading incident investigations, and partnering with local management to implement a site CAPA process and drive continuous improvement. • Review, update, and develop EHS programs (IIPP, HAZCOM, EAP/FPP, LOTO, confined‑space, biosafety, lab and radiation safety). • Provide technical oversight for air, water, and chemical management and support ISO 14001 compliance. • Prepare and submit environmental reports (CUPA HMBP, CARB GHG, refrigerant management) with data validation and calculations. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and client‑specific EHS regulations; lead incident investigations and CAPA implementation. • Set and monitor EHS goals, coach site leaders, and share global best practices.

What You Bring

ERM is hiring a motivated Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to support a key client in Milpitas, CA. This full‑time, limited‑term role runs for six months with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate has experience developing and supporting Cal/OSHA requirements, SOPs, Job Hazard Analyses, Emergency Response Plans, Behavioral Safety Programs, and Contractor Safety Management, as well as familiarity with laboratory safety, waste management, environmental reporting, and chemical safety. Candidates should hold a BS in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field, and possess at least six years of relevant EHS consulting experience with an emphasis on compliance and safety. Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast‑paced consulting environment. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are also necessary. • Hold a BS in a relevant field and at least six years of EHS consulting experience focused on compliance and safety. • Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills in a fast‑paced consulting environment. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Benefits

The position is non‑exempt, limited‑term, with an anticipated annual base salary of $88,236–$132,849 ($42.42–$63.86 hourly). Employees may be eligible for bonus pay, and a comprehensive benefits package—including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance—is offered to regular employees working 20 + hours per week.
