About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role also includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company's safety standards before each shift and adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations while operating the truck. Daily duties involve conducting thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reporting any safety issues. The driver follows a designated route sheet, loads refuse, operates the compactor, and disposes of material at the proper facility, while interacting professionally with customers and dispatchers. The driver must monitor waste for unacceptable materials, tag unsatisfactory containers, clean accidental spills, and maintain the truck’s condition by removing waste from the packer blade and body on each trip. Completion of required route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other documentation is essential to meet productivity standards and support the company’s safety programs.
