About the Role
The CNC Programmer at Veritas Steel’s Eau Claire facility is responsible for CNC programming across multiple sites. The role involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing bridge fabrication projects in line with established procedures. The programmer provides technical direction and troubleshooting for CNC operators, manages DXF files, releases production tracking documents, and maintains job‑specific documentation. They also operate Fabsuite to verify data, link piece marks, establish routings, and generate shop‑floor cut lists while participating in project planning and weekly meetings to ensure timely, safe, and cost‑effective execution. • Program all CNC operations. • Provide technical direction, support, and troubleshooting to CNC operators. • Adjust CNC programming files or equipment as needed. • Support Production Scheduler and Material Coordinator. • Manage DXF files from import to CNC programming output. • Release production tracking documents for CNC drill programs, CNC programs, and cut lists. • Maintain job‑specific files for distributed information. • Operate Fabsuite: import data, verify accuracy, link piece marks to material, establish routings, generate shop floor cut lists. • Participate in project planning to determine operation sequences and execution timeline. • Attend weekly project and new project planning meetings. • Execute schedule with urgency, prioritizing safety, quality, timeliness, and cost.

What You Bring
Candidates must have advanced blueprint reading skills, experience with computer‑based modeling, AutoCAD/CAD/CAM, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with strong organizational and communication abilities. Formal CAD, CAM, and CNC training is required, and three or more years in a manufacturing environment is preferred. The position involves exposure to typical shop floor hazards, and appropriate PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel‑toed boots is mandatory.
