About the Role

The role involves achieving sales goals by maintaining existing business and converting new business, developing multi‑year sales strategies, and identifying new customers, projects, and channel partners across the territory. Leadership responsibilities include coaching and developing a high‑performing third‑party agent sales team, promoting a culture of accountability, and ensuring alignment on territory strategy, pricing, and joint calls. Additional duties cover quote and solution assistance, pricing, KPI tracking, cross‑functional collaboration with marketing, product management, finance, and operations, and effective use of CRM tools like Salesforce. • Achieve sales targets for ERICO and ILSCO commercial electrical products across the North Central USA. • Develop and execute multi‑year sales strategies and tactical plans to acquire new customers and projects. • Lead, coach, and motivate a third‑party agent sales team, fostering accountability and teamwork. • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry influencers. • Represent nVent at industry events and act as a customer advocate to relay market insights. • Deliver product training, technical presentations, and on‑site support to promote brand value. • Influence end‑user specifications and drive demand for ERICO and ILSCO solutions. • Prepare quotes, pricing, and proposals for lightning protection, grounding, surge protection, and related products. • Monitor sales KPIs, analyze data trends, and ensure profitability of opportunities. • Collaborate with marketing, product management, finance, pricing, and operations on go‑to‑market initiatives. • Utilize Salesforce (or similar CRM) to manage pipeline, track opportunities, and provide internal feedback.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience, at least five years of outside or territory sales management in the commercial/industrial electrical sector, ability to travel 60% of the time, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with CRM and sales analytics. • Meet travel requirements (≈60% of time) across IL, IA, KS, MO, MN, NE, ND, SD, WI, and Northwestern IN; maintain a valid driver’s license.
