About the Role
This opportunity involves close supervision and assists assigned departments by preparing CADD drawings and supporting plan preparation activities such as information gathering and production. Tasks are generally related to a specific engineering sub‑type and reflect elements of a standard post‑secondary engineering curriculum. The position is typically part‑time, temporary, or co‑op, and relocation or housing is not provided. The role utilizes computer‑aided drafting, design software, and other computer packages to create construction details, design plans, reports, and meeting exhibits. It transfers information from legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs, and computer files into final plans and maps, and visualizes concepts in two or three dimensions. Mathematics including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry are applied, and work is performed under close supervision or detailed procedures. • Prepare CAD drawings, construction details, design plans, reports, and meeting exhibits. • Convert legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs, and other sources into final plans and maps. • Visualize and illustrate concepts in 2D and 3D using drafting software. • Apply algebra, geometry, and trigonometry in drafting tasks. • Perform duties under close supervision and follow detailed procedures.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and be currently enrolled in an accredited post‑secondary program. One year of relevant experience is preferred. The position is located in Kansas City, MO or Overland Park, KS (Sprint Parkway).
