About the Role
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Planner role is to plan and prepare work packages for the Clean Energy Center (CEC) maintenance teams, ensuring work is performed safely, reliably, and efficiently while complying with the Quality Assurance manual, company policies, and applicable codes and standards. The position involves creating detailed work instructions for corrective repairs, preventive maintenance, surveillance activities, and modifications, selecting and recommending procurement of required materials, and conducting field walkdowns to refine package quality. It also requires close collaboration with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve package issues and ensure compliance with nuclear safeguards, ASME codes, and regulatory requirements. • Plan and prepare detailed work packages for CEC maintenance activities. • Develop work instructions for corrective, preventive, surveillance, and modification tasks. • Conduct field walkdowns to assess and improve maintenance work scope. • Coordinate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve package issues. • Define required procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials for each package. • Prepare and submit permits and regulatory documentation such as OOS, RWP, fire impairments, and ALARA task outs. • Verify that work instructions comply with CEC procedures, nuclear safeguards, ASME codes, and 10 CFR 50.59 requirements. • Review and approve maintenance procedures to maintain code compliance and vendor recommendations. • Manage project elements for system planners or contractors in package development. • Participate in work‑control meetings, contract reviews, troubleshooting, risk assessments, and peer reviews. • Support emergency response, outage coverage, and departmental call‑outs as needed.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience, a current or prior Senior Reactor Operator license with two years of experience, an associate’s degree with three years of experience, or a high‑school diploma/GED with four years of experience. Candidates must meet access requirements, pass a favorable medical examination, and satisfy any applicable unescorted access criteria. Preferred candidates have at least five years of experience in nuclear power plant operations, bringing deeper knowledge of plant safety, regulatory compliance, and complex maintenance planning. • Minimum qualifications: bachelor’s degree +2 yr experience, or Senior Reactor Operator license +2 yr, or associate’s degree +3 yr, or high‑school diploma/GED +4 yr. • Must satisfy access and medical examination requirements. • Preferred: 5+ years of nuclear power plant operations experience.
