About the Role

The Data Engineer role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems that enable efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval. Using modern cloud technologies and big‑data frameworks, the engineer ensures data integrity, security, and accessibility to support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. Key responsibilities include building pipelines in Databricks with Apache Spark, establishing Medallion architecture, creating ELT/ETL workflows, and integrating diverse data sources. The position also oversees infrastructure‑as‑code via Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, data governance, and the delivery of Power BI dashboards and real‑time analytics, while collaborating with data scientists and guiding junior engineers. • Design and manage data pipelines in Databricks using Apache Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Workflows • Establish Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for scalable data lake solutions with dimensional modeling • Create ELT/ETL workflows with Databricks Notebooks and Azure Data Factory • Integrate API‑based, structured, and unstructured data across Azure Databricks and hybrid cloud environments • Enhance cluster and workflow performance while optimizing costs • Set up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI • Oversee pipeline monitoring with Databricks Observability, Azure Monitor, or Prometheus • Implement RBAC, data lineage, and cataloging via Unity Catalog, Azure Purview, or Collibra • Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and internal governance standards • Apply encryption, masking, and audit logging practices • Create Power BI dashboards and reports integrated with Databricks • Facilitate real‑time insights and self‑service analytics capabilities • Assist with integration into Tableau or Looker as required • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams across functions • Guide junior engineers and promote best practices in Databricks

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with a master’s degree strongly preferred, and possess at least five years of data engineering experience.
