About the Role
The Installation and Service Technician works in retail stores to install and repair inventory control, RFID, and video equipment. This role involves on‑site service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer training. You will install, service, troubleshoot, repair and maintain retail products, track work orders and parts using a computer system, and manage an accurate parts inventory to ensure first‑time fixes. You’ll also demonstrate equipment usage, train customers, and keep management informed about satisfaction, sales opportunities, and recurring problems. • Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain retail inventory control, RFID, and video equipment at customer sites. • Track work orders, parts, hours, and labor using computer systems. • Manage an accurate parts inventory to ensure first‑time fixes. • Demonstrate equipment use and train customers on proper operation. • Communicate customer satisfaction, sales opportunities, and recurring issues to management. • Perform physical tasks including lifting 50‑70 lb, climbing ladders, and working at heights up to 40 ft.

What You Bring
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a two‑year associate degree in Electronics/Networking or equivalent military training, a valid driver’s license, and three years of related experience. Candidates must have completed basic EAS and video certifications, possess general electronics knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and be able to lift 50‑70 lb and work at heights up to 40 ft. Additional expectations include strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently or in a team, proficiency with MS Office, excellent written and oral communication, and willingness to travel and work overtime. Preferred qualifications are certifications in Video & RFID solutions and full networking competency. • Hold a High School Diploma/GED and an associate degree in Electronics/Networking or equivalent military training. • Possess a valid driver’s license and at least three years of related experience. • Completed basic EAS and video training/certifications; general electronics knowledge required. • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and independent work skills with a positive attitude. • Proficient in MS Office, basic PC skills, and excellent written and oral communication. • Ability to travel, work overtime, and mentor/train others as needed. • Preferred certifications: Video & RFID solutions and full networking competency (Networking Fundamentals, TRS‑Networking 101).
