About the Role

The Senior Publications Specialist will lead the development and refinement of military technical manuals for U.S. Army tactical vehicles, ensuring accurate, high‑quality documentation. This role supports the delivery of reliable, mission‑critical resources to the armed forces and thrives in a collaborative, innovative environment. • Review Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and paper Technical Manual work packages for accuracy. • Edit XML and graphic files as needed to maintain documentation standards. • Participate in internal team meetings and meetings with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). • Log comments on IETM or TM and submit them to the OEM for required changes. • Track review progress and deficiencies using SharePoint. • Travel 50‑70 % of the time to support project activities.

What You Bring

The position is temporary through September 29 2026, with the possibility of conversion to permanent, and requires 50‑70 % travel to support OEM and internal teams. Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain a Common Access Card and security clearance. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or 8 years equivalent experience). • Possess at least 5 years of technical writing or editing experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with XML authoring and editing for technical manuals. • Be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain a Common Access Card and security clearance. • Familiarity with the Interactive Authoring and Display System (IADS) viewer for IETM (preferred). • Knowledge of Army validation and verification processes for technical manual development (preferred). • Experience creating and editing both IETM and paper technical manuals (preferred). • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and data (preferred). • Willingness to learn new skills and share knowledge with teammates.
