About the Role
The Client Accounting AP Team Leader supports the Finance Manager with client reporting, manages expenditure funding and income for a portfolio of clients, prepares and oversees bank reconciliation outputs to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items, and supervises AP team deliverables. Key responsibilities include preparing client funding reports, reviewing payment runs for accuracy, performing bank reconciliations, clearing AP mailbox queries, monitoring sub‑ledger cash balances and executing client fund transfers, coordinating with the critical balance team and Credit Control to resolve aged creditor and debtor balances, reviewing monthly governance packs to mitigate risk, handling invoice charge raises and tax invoice recovery, preparing VAT reports, and monitoring non‑resident landlord reporting. • Support Finance Manager with client reporting and portfolio funding management. • Prepare and manage bank reconciliations to resolve outstanding items promptly. • Review payment runs for accuracy and ensure proper funding allocation. • Monitor and respond to queries in the AP mailbox. • Reconcile sub‑ledger cash balances and process client fund transfers. • Collaborate with critical balance team and Credit Control to clear aged creditor and debtor balances. • Review monthly governance packs and implement risk‑mitigation actions. • Handle invoice charge raises, recover tax invoices, and prepare VAT reports. • Monitor and report on non‑resident landlord activities. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring
The role requires AAT/Graduate or partially qualified ACCA/CIMA status, solid knowledge of financial and management accounting, and experience with AP/AR processes. Candidates must demonstrate strong stakeholder communication, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, familiarity with Tramps or similar accounting software, excellent written and verbal communication, effective time‑management, initiative, teamwork, a process‑driven mindset, and a focus on effective controls. • Apply AAT/Graduate or partially qualified ACCA/CIMA knowledge in accounting tasks. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and Tramps (or similar) accounting software. • Manage time, multitask, and work independently as well as within a team.
