About the Role
Apprentices assist with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems while using hand and power tools under supervision. They measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wiring, conduit, and other raceway components, and work on control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, receptacles, and switches. Additional duties include splicing and terminating wires, transporting materials, communicating with foremen and crew, and maintaining workflow schedules to meet productivity goals. • Assist in installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems. • Use industry‑related hand and power tools under supervision. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wiring, conduit, and raceway systems. • Work on control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, receptacles, and switches. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points. • Clean, gather, and transport materials to electricians on the construction site. • Maintain workflow schedules to meet productivity objectives. • Adhere to all safety policies and demonstrate professionalism and courtesy. • Read and interpret electrical single‑line blueprints.

What You Bring
The Apprentice Electrician role at Bergelectric Corp. involves supporting licensed electricians in installing new electrical systems and repairing existing ones across commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects. This position requires strict adherence to national, state, and local electrical codes as well as all Bergelectric Corp. policies and procedures, and it is classified as a safety‑sensitive role. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program and possess knowledge of electrical theory, basic and specialty circuits, magnetic induction, three‑phase transformers, conductors, and wiring methods. The ability to read single‑line electrical blueprints, familiarity with operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, and basic tool safety are also required. The position demands physical stamina, including lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, and working while fully squatted, stooped, or kneeling with a 25‑lb tool belt. Work is performed in varied weather conditions, high‑noise environments, and from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. • Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members.
