About the Role
The operator is responsible for setting up and running wire winding and braiding equipment to manufacture spiral‑wrapped Teflon® tubing and PTFE hose. They follow work orders and setup sheets to prepare stations and ensure proper material flow. Key production tasks include loading mandrels, operating cranes, hoists and ovens, performing quality inspections such as diameter checks and proof testing, and handling finished hose for palletizing. The operator also conducts daily maintenance on equipment, including tension and roller checks. A safe and organized work environment is maintained through 5S, TPM, and adherence to plant, safety, and environmental regulations. Participation in team meetings, problem‑solving events, and continuous‑improvement initiatives is expected. • Set up and operate wire winders to produce spiral wrap over Teflon® tubing. • Set up and run braiders for PTFE and larger‑diameter hose, including carrier stringing and tape machine setup. • Load and strip PTFE tubing from steel mandrels before and after braiding. • Operate overhead crane and hoist to move mandrels, poles, and product safely. • Run the oven to bake wire and perform daily equipment maintenance (tension, roller, break pad checks). • Conduct quality checks: pick counts, outer diameter, high wires, score lines, and proof‑test samples on inline tester. • Coil and palletize braided hose for proof testing and shipping. • Record process data and complete labor, scrap, inventory, and cycle‑count transactions in the ERP system. • Participate in cell/team activities, including meetings, problem‑solving, and continuous‑improvement events. • Maintain 5S, TPM, and housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, safe work area.

What You Bring
Candidates should possess relevant manufacturing experience and meet all regulatory and employment eligibility requirements. • Minimum 1 year experience using hand and power tools. • Minimum 1 year experience performing ERP computer transactions. • Minimum 1 year experience in aerospace manufacturing. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
