About the Role

The Project Manager II will manage, plan and drive the execution of product development projects from initiation to launch. They will focus on ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined objectives. This role requires leadership, technical and business acumen, and proficiency in project management methodologies. Responsibilities include managing assigned projects or sub‑tasks that drive new products and solutions, and developing comprehensive project plans with timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. The manager proactively identifies project risks, establishes effective mitigation strategies, and oversees quality assurance throughout the product development lifecycle. They direct and coordinate cross‑functional project meetings, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and identify opportunities to optimize the development process, delivering regular progress updates to the Director of Project Management. • Lead product development projects from start to launch, ensuring on‑schedule and on‑budget delivery. • Create detailed project plans covering timelines, resources, and risk mitigation. • Proactively spot project risks and implement mitigation measures. • Oversee quality assurance across the product development lifecycle. • Coordinate cross‑functional team meetings and allocate project‑specific resources. • Maintain stakeholder communications and provide regular status reports. • Identify and implement process improvements to boost development efficiency. • Report project progress to the Director of Project Management on a regular basis.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a BS degree in Engineering or a related field and have 3‑5 years of project management experience, with PMP, PMI, Prince2 or equivalent certification preferred. Desired knowledge includes manufacturing processes, sheet‑metal cutting/forming, HVAC system design, and new product development, as well as experience with stage‑gate, phase‑driven, and Agile development methodologies. The role also requires demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, SAP, and other enterprise software. Essential mental functions include effective written and spoken communication, strong interpersonal skills, sound decision‑making, analytical problem‑solving, multi‑tasking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. Essential physical functions require the ability to lift up to 50 lb, sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours, and tolerate periodic visits to a manufacturing facility with seasonal temperature extremes, dust, and occasional chemical fumes. • Require a BS in Engineering or related field with 3‑5 years of project management experience. • Preferred certifications: PMP, PMI, Prince2, or equivalent. • Possess knowledge of manufacturing, sheet‑metal fabrication, HVAC design, and new product development. • Experience with stage‑gate, phase‑driven, and Agile development methodologies. • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and resolve conflicts. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, SAP, and other enterprise tools. • Able to lift up to 50 lb and work in manufacturing environments with temperature extremes, dust, and occasional chemical fumes.
