Key responsibilities include assisting the carpenter with layout, material handling, and cutting tasks, maintaining clean and organized work areas, ensuring necessary materials are stocked, and providing support to other craft workers as needed. The helper must follow instructions, adhere to safety protocols, and be ready to perform a variety of supportive functions on the job site. • Assist carpenter with layout, lifting, positioning, securing, and cutting materials • Clean work areas, machines, and equipment • Keep work area stocked with necessary materials • Use hand and power tools safely with proper training • Climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, ladders, and frameworks • Perform tasks involving bending, crawling, kneeling, squatting, and standing on uneven or adverse conditions • Make decisions, observe details, and stay detail‑oriented

What You Bring
The Carpenter Helper assists skilled craftspersons by performing supportive duties under direct supervision. This role requires a general knowledge of carpentry and the use of hand and power tools to aid the Carpenter or Carpenter Foreman with designing, constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing wood, plywood, and wallboard structures. The helper is expected to seek improvements in methods, learn from others, and understand safety hazards related to the work. The position may be based in a plant operations environment or a construction jobsite. The role demands physical stamina to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lb regularly (occasionally up to 100 lb), use hand and power tools, and work on ladders, scaffolds, and uneven terrain under various weather conditions.
