About the Role
Manufacturing Production Workers are responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting machining, processing, assembly or packaging equipment to meet production specifications, schedules, volume, cost, waste and quality targets. They operate machine tools, chemical processing, assembly or packaging equipment, move, pack and sort raw materials or finished goods, monitor output quality and maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis. Key impact areas include overseeing winding operations – primary winding, insulation and assembly – while ensuring compliance with standard manufacturing processes for accuracy and efficiency. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, winding sheets and work instructions, micro-level planning for each workstation, allocating operators to meet targets and leading a team of winding technicians, supervisors and contract workers. The incumbent identifies skill gaps, implements training and multi-skilling initiatives, collaborates with Planning, Purchase, Maintenance and Quality departments, and drives Lean, 5S and Kaizen initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste. They monitor KPIs such as productivity, downtime, rework and first-pass yield, maintain critical equipment availability above 90 % and enforce strict EHS policies, conducting regular safety audits, toolbox talks and risk assessments. • Oversee winding operations (primary winding, insulation, assembly) ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Interpret and implement engineering drawings, winding sheets, and work instructions. • Plan and schedule work at each workstation to optimize manufacturing execution. • Allocate and manage operators to meet production targets. • Lead, train, and develop winding technicians, supervisors, and contract workers. • Identify skill gaps and implement multi‑skilling and training programs. • Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Maintenance, and Quality departments for schedule execution. • Drive Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste. • Monitor and report KPIs such as productivity, downtime, rework, and first‑pass yield. • Maintain critical equipment availability above 90% and enforce EHS policies. • Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments regularly. • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and company core values.
